ABOUT ERIC
Eric began competitive racing at the age of four entering fun runs and triathlons in Idaho. Later, after playing some soccer, he began mountain biking while racing for his high school ski (downhill and free style), track, and cross-country teams. While at Timberline High School, Eric helped develop the high schoolās mountain bike team with the hope of introducing more of the students to the sport that had become his passion off campus. Eric lettered in cross-country, and in 2002, graduated with honors from Timberline in their A.P. program.
At 18, after not quite two years of road racing, Eric earned his Cat 1 license and was enlisted by team iomegaOrbea to be their G.C. rider. With iomegaOrbea Eric had the opportunity to race several NRCs in the western states including the Cascade Classic. He jumped at the opportunity to race internationally at the 10-day stage race La Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay.
After graduation, Eric was recruited to race on the Varsity Team for the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks. Currently, at 20 years old, Eric is still a student at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado majoring in Business Administration and minoring in General Sciences. Most recently, Eric attended NCAA Collegiate Nationals, helping his team bring home their Division 1 National Championship title. Under the guidance of coach Rick Crawford, Eric looks forward to developing his cycling abilities to their fullest.
This past summer Eric returned to the dirt and turned Pro on the mountain bike. Eric had an outstanding mountain bike season with numerous top 25ās in NORBA National Pro short tracks, and top 30 results in the NORBA Pro cross country races.
